My passion for wood started in childhood. My father, a skilled carpenter, surrounded me with tools and all kinds of wood—they were my toys. It was always a dream of mine to work with wood professionally.
When I was 16, my brother took me to a local climbing wall—and I was hooked for life. Over the years, climbing became an obsession, and my two passions eventually came together. After three years of experimentation—testing shapes, wood types, technologies, breaking over 1,000 brushes, and gathering input from friends—the Faza Brushes brand was born in 2014.
Beyond functionality, my goal is to make each Faza brush aesthetic, unique, and inspiring. No brush we create is ever just “plain.” Every piece is 95% handmade in Bulgaria (EU), a direct reflection of my own drive and the invaluable input from passionate climbers.
I believe in going beyond “good enough”—both in climbing and in brush-making. When I work on a brush, the wood itself guides the process, shaping the piece as I refine it. Once I’m satisfied with the result, the brush is complete—and my mind is already dreaming of the next creation. Just like climbing, it’s a journey of constant exploration, creativity, and passion.
